Last week was a really good week for the cross country teams. On Thursday morning, our JV teams competed in the Varsity Division of the Decatur Invitational, and both groups did very well. The girls were led to a 9th place finish by Lily Elgin (21:58.8). The boys also placed 9th behind a strong showing by Reed Murry (16.33). There was great competition and all of our runners performed well. The course, however, was a little short.

The Varsity traveled to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater to compete in the Cowboy Jamboree, which is held at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course, one of the top 3 courses in the Nation. It is an unbelievably beautiful course, but extremely challenging at the same time. Once again, our runners performed tremendously well! Our girls team was paced by a very strong showing by Molly Garrison, who placed 4th overall (18:52.3). Our boys team ran without 2 of our athletes, and placed 13th out of 44 teams! The boys were led by Thatcher Pettit (16:55).
