Aledo XC Brings Home Big Finishes at Texas A&M & Haltom!
The Ladycats & Bearcats split up this week, with the JV teams competing at the Haltom Buffalo Stampede on Thursday before Varsity traveled to College Station for the Texas A&M Invitational on Friday!
At the Texas A&M Invitational, both Varsity teams turned in strong performances despite each competing without one of their top runners. The Varsity Boys finished an impressive 3rd overall, while the Varsity Girls placed 9th. Holland Gladchuk continued her strong season with another top-ten finish, racing to 9th place in 18:52.4.
The JV squad also had a strong showing at Haltom. The girls finished 3rd in the Varsity Division, the boys finished 4th in the Varsity Division, and the JV Boys finished 3rd. Brody Bruno led the way with a 2nd-place finish in 16:51.44, while Jayden Smith finished 4th in 19:57.39 and Kendall Bricker placed 10th in 21:42.01.

This was another strong week of racing for Aledo Cross Country. Both Varsity teams showed the depth of this group by turning in strong team performances while each was missing one of its top runners. Combined with strong team finishes at Haltom and several top-ten individual performances throughout the week, there was plenty to be proud of as we continue building toward the championship portion of the season.
Aledo Cross Country will split up again this week, with the JV teams competing at Prowl in the Park in Benbrook on Thursday, Sept. 17, followed by the Varsity teams traveling to Round Rock for the HOKA McNeil Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19.
We are incredibly proud of the way this group continues to compete, and we’re excited to carry that momentum into another big week of racing!
