Last Thursday both the Varsity and JV boy’s track teams finished 1st in their divisions in the Ben Davis Relays at Brewer High School.
The varsity was led by pole vaulters Ryan Brown and Brevin McCoy finishing 1st and 2nd both with personal bests of 15 ft. Harrison Tillman won two gold medals in the 3200 and 1600 meter run and the 4 x 400 meter relay of Regan Rice, Giovanni Torres, Cole Daniels, and Beau Mask won gold as well. Other medal winners included Nick Smith in the 800, Giovanni Torres, Beau Mask, Money Parks, and Jase McClellan in the 4 x 100 meter relay and 4 x 200 meter relay, Chuck Filiaga in the shot put, Evan Jokerst in the discus, and Cole Daniels in the triple jump.
For the JV, the pole vaulters were strong again with Zach Davis and Matthew Tague finishing 1st and 2nd. Trevor Connelly also won two medals with a 1st place finish in the 3200 meter run and a 2nd Place finish in the 1600 meter run. Gavin Williams, Jason Kerl, Jake Bishop, and Stephan Wright won the 4 x 100 meter relay as well. Jason Kerl medaled in 3 events including gold in the high jump, and silver on the 4 x 200 meter relay. Cody Stone won gold in the shot put and Jake Ford in the 200. Other medal winners included Gavin Williams in the 200, Cooper Googans in the 3200, William Webb in the discus, Jett Barton in the Shot Put, Micco Little in the high jump, and the the 4 x 200 meter relay of Gavin Williams, Jason Kerl, Micco Little, and Jake Bishop.
The next meet will be Friday, March 3rd at Northwest High School.
