Gracie Morris was the District 6-5A Varsity Girls Champion with a time of 18:47. Graydon Morris was the Varsity Boys District Champion with a time of 15:01. Both Gracie and Graydon also won the Newcomer Award for being the top 9th grader as well. Senior Captain Harrison Tillman finished in 2nd place with a time of 16:00, and sophomore Avery Tilley medaled in 6th place with a personal best time of 16:44. The team qualified for Regionals (with a 55 points) in Lubbock as the runner up to Northwest (who finished with 55 points. Azle finished in 3rd Place with a total of 58 points. The Aledo Varsity Boys’ team total time was 1:23.16 which was faster than Northwest’s time of 1:24.46.

We will be participating in the Regional Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Saturday. The 5A Girls race begins at 9:40 and the 5A Boys race starts at 10:20.
