The Aledo High School varsity tennis team competed in the Grapevine Invitational tournament January 26th. Seeking tougher competition, Aledo went up against 6A schools: Plano West, Plano East, Keller, Southlake Carroll and Flower Mound, 5A schools: Colleyville, Grapevine and Northwest, and private schools: Dallas Jesuit and Liberty Christian.

In Girls’ Doubles A Draw, Priscilla Schimming and Erin Davis lost to Allen 1-6, 1-6 to take fourth place. In Boys’ Doubles A Draw, Jared Kelm and Miles Grubbs lost to Southlake Carroll 6-7, 4-6 to also take fourth place, and in Boys’ Singles A Draw, Alec Meendsen lost to Liberty Christian 4-6, 2-6 to take fourth place as well. The Aledo varsity tennis team returns to action on February 2nd at the Brock HS tennis tournament.
