The Aledo Varsity Tennis Team qualified 10 players for Regionals and won the District Championships in both the Boys and Girls divisions.
The RaquetCats will be represented in every draw at the Regional Tournament.
Priscilla Schimming swept through the girls singles draw to win over Katrina McDermott of Crowley in the Final 6-2, 6-4.
The Mixed Doubles team of Nikki Adamie and Alec Meendsen easily won their final over the Burleson team 6-1, 6-1 to claim first.
The Girls Doubles final was an all Aledo match with the team of Kristen Boomer and Erin Davis edging out the team of Haley Adrion and Caitlyn Andrews 6-1, 6-3 to take first. The lost forced the team of Adrion/Andrews to compete in a playback match against Crowley. Aledo won the match 6-4, 6-1 to take second place and advance to regionals.
The Boys Doubles team of Noah Shibley and Brian Young fought in hard finals match losing to Granbury 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 to take second and advance to regionals.
Lance McClure lost in the Boys Singles final to Angel Palacious of Everman. Miles Grubbs won his third place Boys Singles match forcing a playback with McClure for second place and a spot at Regionals. McClure won the match 6-4, 6-2. Grubbs took 3rd and will be an alternate.
Regionals will be held April 18th and 19th in Lubbock at Texas Tech.
