Aledo Bearcats' Cody Bradford struck out nine batters, but providing enough offense to notch a victory proved difficult Tuesday, as Aledo Bearcats fell to Centennial 2-1 at Centennial.
It was a good day at the plate for Aledo Bearcats' Cameron Caldwell. Caldwell went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
Payton Strambler got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed one run over seven innings. Strambler struck out seven, walked none and gave up four hits.
Bradford took the loss for Aledo Bearcats.
In the fifth inning, Aledo Bearcats pushed across its only run of the day on a solo home run by Caldwell.
Centennial never trailed after scoring two runs in the seventh on two singles.
