Hannah Farmer is ranked 12th overall in the 50 Yard Freestyle. First place in the event is 23.41 and Hannah swam a 24.49. I have never seen Hannah lose a race. She is very competitive and I feel like she has as good a chance as any of the girls of taking first. She is also ranked 7th overall in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. First place is 1:02.01 and Hannah swam a 1:06.91. It will be very difficult for her to drop four or more seconds between now and the State championship meet. I predict she will swim this event in a high 1:04. If she can do so, she will place 3rd or 4th overall.
Nicholas Daniels is ranked 15th overall in the 100 Yard Freestyle. First place is a 44:52 and he swam a 48.23. Nicholas will not likely drop the four or five seconds necessary to take first place at the meet. However, I believe that he will drop at least one second and possibly more than two. He should place in the top eight at State. He is also ranked 14th overall in the 200 Yard Freestyle. First place is a 1:40.95 and he swam it in 1:45.15. He will drop two or three seconds in the next two weeks and I suspect that he has a good chance of placing in the top eight.
We had a really great experience at Regionals this year. Almost every person dropped times in their personal events and every relay improved their times by more than one second. Hannah Farmer qualified for state in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke. Nicholas Daniels qualified in the 100 Freestyle and he was called up to participate in the 200 Freestyle. Hannah Farmer, Hanah Terrell, C.J. Pfeil, and Charlotte Lane are the four girls that swam in the finals at Regionals. Together they earned 115 points and placed 5th overall in the meet. Nicholas Daniels, Elijah Sohn, Andrew Pennington, Justin Lemons, and Conner Allen participated in the finals at Regionals. They earned 129 points and tied for 6th place overall.
