The Aledo High School varsity tennis team had an excellent showing in the Brock Invitational Tournament, finishing in first place and medaling in 6 events.
In Boys’ Singles A Draw, Alec Meendsen defeated North Crowley 7-5, 6-2 for first place, and in Girls’ Singles A Draw, Olivia Key lost to Duncanville in the final to take second place.
In Boys’ Doubles A Draw, Lance McClure / Miles Grubbs defeated Iowa Park 6-1, 6-3 in the final for first place, and in Girls’ Doubles A Draw, Priscilla Schimming / Carly Siddons beat Weatherford 6-1, 6-2 in the final for first place as well. Also in the A Draw, Tristyn Fambrough / Concetta Ogden won Consolation.
In Mixed Doubles A Draw, Erin Davis / James Young beat Wichita Falls Hirschi 6-0, 6-4 in the final to take first place. In Mixed Doubles B Draw, Lauren Krieger / Wade Williams won Consolation.
The Aledo varsity tennis team is back in action on February 16 at the Mansfield Summit tournament.
