Friday was a great day for Cody Bradford, as Bradford threw a shutout to carry Aledo Bearcats to a 5-0 victory over Western Hills at Brock High School in seven innings.
Aledo Bearcats' Bradford kept Western Hills off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up seven.
Eric Anfin took the loss for Western Hills . He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
The lead stayed with Aledo Bearcats after the second, when it scored three runs on an error, a sacrifice fly by Hunter Rosson, and an RBI single by Callaway Shands.
Aledo Bearcats matched its one-run third inning with one more in the sixth. In the third, Aledo Bearcats scored on a passed ball, scoring Noah Collins.
