Capturing a huge win in the bi-district round of the playoffs, the AHS Varsity Tennis Team ranked #13 in the state, defeated #7 state ranked Lubbock Coronado High School 10-3 to move on to the area round of the playoffs.

Posting wins in doubles were the pairings of: Lance McClure/Miles Grubbs (6-2, 6-2), Priscilla Schimming/Erin Davis (6-2, 5-7, 11-9), Olivia Key/Concetta Ogden (6-3, 4-6, 10-7), Katie Siddons/Tristyn Fambrough (6-4, 0-6, 11-9) and James Young/Carly Siddons (6-0, 6-0). Posting wins in singles were McClure (6-4, 6-4), Grubbs (4-6, 6-1, 11-9), Schimming (6-4, 6-3), Key (5-7, 6-3, 10-6) and Davis (6-4 6-1).

Aledo will face El Paso Chapin High School in the Area round of the Region 1 playoffs. The match will be played at Odessa Permian High School on Friday October 19th at 10 AM.
