The Aledo High School Tennis Team defeated Chisholm Trail 16-3 to clinch the District 6-5A championship.  This is the 11th consecutive district championship for AHS fall team tennis.
With a strong showing from doubles’ pairings, Aledo led 6-1 going into singles matches.  Posting wins were Nikki Adamie/Erin Davis (8-1), Priscilla Schimming/Allison Dale (8-3) and Courtney Andrews/Tristyn Fambrough (8-3).  Also posting wins in boys’ doubles were Jared Kelm/Miles Grubbs (8-3) and Ben Colvin/James Young (8-1), and Lance McClure/Tristan Trotter (8-6).  The mixed doubles pairing of Trey Fambrough/Carly Siddons (6-8) lost in a tough match. 
The Aledo girls were dominant as a whole, winning five of six matches.  Wins from came Schimming (6-1, 6-0), Davis (6-1, 6-1), Dale (6-2, 6-0), Siddons (6-1, 6-2), and Tr. Fambrough (6-0, 6-1.) Posting a loss was Adamie (3-6, 4-6).  In additional matches Taryn Fambrough (8-6) and Claire Stagner (8-6) both posted wins for Aledo.
The AHS boys were equally as dominant in singles also posting wins in five of six matches.  Posting wins were Kelm (6-0, 6-2), McClure (6-2, 6-0), Grubbs (2-6, 6-2, 14-12), Fambrough (8-2), and Young (6-2, 6-1). Colvin (3-6, 6-2, 10-4) lost in a tight match, and Trotter (8-4) posted win in an additional match.
In a non-district match this past Friday, AHS swept Birdville High School 19-0.
