ALEDO TENNIS WINS BIG AT HOME AGAINST THE BREWER BEARS

Aledo Tennis wins big at home against  the  Brewer  Bears

Aledo traveled to Birdville last Friday for a practice tournament with the Eagles winning with a score of 16-3. This definitely helped them win their first district match of the season this past Tuesday, September 21 in Aledo against the Brewer Bears posting a team score 18-1.
Boys’ doubles winning scores were Line 1 Jax Joiner/Hogan Posey (6-1)(6-2), Line 2 Ian Leslie/Scott Mason (6-0)(6-1) and Line 3 Craig Mason/Ben Farmer (6-1)(6-1)
Girls’ doubles posted wins from Line 1 Katie Siddons/Georgia Posey (6-1)(6-0), Line 2 Cambell Charrier/Bryanna Orr (6-2)(6-1) and Line 3 Payton Bierle/Paige Federman (6-3)(6-0).
Mixed doubles partners Zane Martin and
Zoe Whitcomb played well splitting sets (4-6)(6-2) but came up short in a very competitive (8-10) super tiebreaker.
Aledo swept all of boy’s and girl’s singles dominating every match. Boy’s singles scores were Line 1 Jax Joiner (8-1), Line 2 Ian Leslie (6-0)(6-3), Line 3 Hogan Posey (6-2)(6-3), Line 4 Scott Mason (6-2)(6-2), Line 5 Ben Farmer (8-0) and Line 6
Craig Mason (8-3).
Girl’s singles wins were Line 1 Katie Siddons (8-0), Line 2 Cambell Charrier (6-0)(6-1), Line 3 Georgia Posey (6-1)(6-0),Line 4 Bryanna Orr (6-2)(6-0), Line 5 Payton Bierle (8-0) amd Line 6 Paige Federman (8-3).
The RacquetCats are now 1-2 in district and travel to Grandbury to play Tuesday, September 28 at 4:00pm.
